Mango Kolomb

Kolomb Mangoes known as the king of fruits large, evergreen trees with a dark green, umbrella-shaped, spreading crown. Mangoes are one of the oldest cultivated plants in the world. it is a species of flowering plant in the family Anacardiaceae. Mangoes are believed to have originated from the region between northwestern Myanmar, Bangladesh, and India

Fruit raw or cooked dried, unripe fruit is ground into a powder and used as a flavoring in Indian cuisine, they are an ingredient of the spice mixture chat masala A variable fruit, ranging in color from green through orange and yellow to red, it can be anything from 50g to 1.5kg in weight.

Mangoes are nutritionally rich with a unique fragrance, flavor, taste, and health-giving properties, this fruit is often labeled as Superfruit. 100 grams of mango provides about 50 % of daily Vitamin A and Vitamin C. Also contains an adequate amount of dietary fibers.

Common name: Mango, Aam, Kulambu,Kolomb.

Maintenance required: Moderate

Planting and Care

The plant can thrive in almost any soil but requires well-drained soil in a site with protection from cold. Position tree where it will receive full sun for best fruit production.

Special Feature

They are a great source of magnesium and potassium, both of which are connected to lower blood pressure and a regular pulse. Mangos are also the source of a compound known as mangiferin, which may be able to reduce inflammation of the heart. Mangos can help stabilize your digestive system.
